What to expect when you arrive:

Each Sunday, the music from our steeple will call you to our main entrance under our “Gathered 1736” white doors in the circular driveway.

There, you will be greeted with a smile and a welcome from our greeters. We have a table to your left for making a name tag if you desire. We are wheelchair accessible from the newly renovated ramp in the back of the church (directions).

Further down the hall, sign our guest book.  Our ushers will offer you a worship bulletin and an invitation to find yourself a seat in the main sanctuary or in our fragrance-free balcony.

Large-print service bulletins and assistive listening devices for those with hearing impairments are available here. If you are worshiping with children, please feel free to take a  “worship bag” (located on the right) which contain a variety of things to keep little hands and minds busy.

Palm procession on Palm Sunday

Most of us dress comfortably and somewhat informal and we sometimes bring our coffee mugs or water bottle as an accessory as well. We spend the first few minutes greeting each other before settling down for announcements, welcomes and finally worship.

Children are welcome to stay and participate in worship through our “A Time for Children” portion of service (about 10-15 minutes into service). They can then head to Sunday School for the remainder of our service.  Infants are welcome in the Nursery at the start of worship or parents may choose to drop their infant off in the nursery when the older children leave.

Expressive, participatory liturgy, thoughtful preaching, and a blend of new and traditional music are some of the elements you can expect to experience on any given Sunday.

We keep time by the seasons of the church year and tune our hearts, minds and spirits to the ever-present NOW of God. Worship leadership is shared by our Pastor, Michele Bagby Allan,  lay people and musicians, including Randy McGee, Director of Music, and our dedicated volunteer Chancel Choir, Bell Ringers, and Intergenerational Choir.

Service is followed BY a time of fellowship in Pingree Hall.

It’s a half hour of coffee and tea, an ever-changing variety of baked goods, kid friendly snacks such as fruit and goldfish and of course our favorite, cake, which is served on as many celebration occasions as we can. Children can use this time to run about with friends and color pictures at our kid table. This is a time to meet with some of our congregation and speak with Pastor Michele.
