Common Global Ministries in the Middle East: A Special Program with Dr. Peter Makari: Peter will join FCC virtually and we will meet in the Parlor at 11:30 to listen to his presentation on the work of Common Global Ministries in the Middle East and particularly in the Israel/Palestinian area that has known considerable violence and humanitarian crisis.   Sunday, October 4th.

After our celebration of Ministry we will give pastor Michele some time to join us in worship. Rev Good win will preach at our 10 am service.

The Rev. Darrell L. Goodwin is the first Executive Conference Minister of the Southern New England Conference of the United Church of Christ. A Chicago native, he serves as chief vision keeper for the Conference, guiding churches and ministries to make a lasting impact in the world. He previously served as Associate Conference Minister for the Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota Conferences and directed the Pension Boards’ Faith and Personal Finance Initiative, a $1 million Lilly Endowment-funded program supporting clergy from historically underrepresented groups.

With over 20 years of ministry experience, Rev. Goodwin has led churches, campus ministries, and student affairs departments in both Protestant and Catholic settings. He holds degrees from Boston College, the University of Vermont, and Seattle University, and is currently completing his Doctor of Ministry at San Francisco Theological Seminary. Known for his dynamic leadership and deep commitment to justice and inclusion, he is also an avid dinner host and bridge-builder across communities.

We will sing carols an have a brunch together on this Sunday following Christmas. Bring a dish to share and meet in Pingree hall at 10 for brunch & worship.
