Rev. Michele Bagby Allan,
Pastor

Rev. Michele Bagby Allan joined the First Congregational Church Norwood community in 2016.  She is a native Californian who has grown to love New England over the nearly 20 years she has called it home, first as a seminary student at Harvard Divinity School and then as a pastor in North Hampton, NH and now in Norwood, MA.

Michele is grateful to be parent to her two children and spouse to James.  She enjoys hiking, reading, dancing, crafting, and playing traditional Irish music.  She also sincerely enjoys being a Christian minister and serving the community as pastor and teacher.

Dr. Randy McGee,
Director of Music/Accompanist

FCCN recently welcomed Randy McGee to our staff and we are happy to have his talents every Sunday whether it is at the organ, the piano, or in front of the Chancel Choir.

Randy has a long-standing reputation as a performer and teacher in the Boston area. He has served as Artistic Director of the Snug Harbor Community Chorus (Duxbury, MA) since 2017.    He also directs the Opera Program at Boston College and was former Music Director at First Parish Church in Kingston, MA.  Randy earned his Doctor of Arts in Vocal Performance and Choral Conducting with honors from the University of Northern Colorado.

Teri McDonald,
Church Administrator

Teri and her family have been members of the church since 2011. She joined our staff in April 2019 as our part time administrator.  She is also the co-director of our Vacation Bible school program and Sunday school teacher. When she’s not being “the church lady,” as her husband Brian, calls her, she’s busy with their three children, and their many animals including Lulu the rescue black lab, Frey the golden retriever, bunnies Patches and Cocoa, Ferrets Nugget and Sam, bearded dragon Gus Gus and a variety of chickens.

In addition, Teri is a certified childbirth educator and postpartum doula.  Her interests include all things birth related, collecting chickens (both living ones and decorations), gardening and raising her tiny humans to be kindhearted, God loving, and free thinking.

Libby Maxwell,
Sunday School Director

Libby has been our dedicated Sunday School Superintendent since 2006. Our Sunday School program would not thrive without her organization and kindness to our church families. Libby is present at FCCN every Sunday to make sure Sunday School is running smoothly.

She has lived in Norwood for over 30 years where she raised her two children. She is lovingly referred to as “Ibby” by her granddaughter and she is excited to welcome her second grandbaby soon. Libby loves reading books and being outdoors. She credits her mother for her vast knowledge of trees and birds.

James Allan,
Digital Ministry Coordinator

James is married to Pastor Michele and they have two kids, Zander and Aidan. He has degrees in communications and music, and he also has a long history with youth work – going back about 23 years. James has recently passed the torch along as the Youth Group Leader after more than 5 years.

James has beeen our “unofficial” digital ministry coordinator since the start of the pandemic, when we felt the need to pre-record our services instead of holding them in person. Later, James recorded and rebroadcasted our outside worship services. When we moved back to the sanctuary, James live streamed our service for those who didn’t feel confortable attending worship inside.

Currently, James is our official digital ministry coordinator and live streams every Sunday for our congregants.

Jim Croak,
Sexton

Jim has been our Sexton for over a decade and a church member for over 40 years. He has 3 adult children and 2 granddaughters and you will often find his son Colin working at the church right along side Jim. Taking care of a building as old as FCCN takes patience and a sense of humor, and Jim has both. He even gave us permission to create his bio and add that he loves unicorns and crime novels.
