Adult Bible Study
Mary Ann Violette leads this group on Sunday Mornings before service in the Parlor from 8:15-9:30am.
Mary Ann runs Lenten and Advent Series.
Each meeting begins with a time of fellowship including coffee, bagels and
muffins and will end each of the classes with a time of quiet and
meditation and the lighting and extinguishing of the candles. We hope
you can join us. All are welcome.
Sacred Circle
We are currently meeting via Zoom and in person in the chapel for a time of prayer.
Join us by the Altar Wednesdays 7-8 am. It is a time for spiritual reflection, prayers for those in need and praying over Prayer Shawls as part of the Prayer Shawl Ministry. It is indeed a “sacred” fellowship among those who gather. Some come and stay week after week. Some come and go (and come back again from time to time). The circle is open to all. We always have an extra chair.
Friendly Service
Friendly Service is currently meeting once a month in the Alden Room. Friendly Service meets to work on quilts, baby blankets and also creates our Prayer Shawls. Should you like a quilt, baby blanket or other knitted item, please contact the church office.
The Sacredness of Your Life Story
Everyone has a story. Everyone’s story deserves to be heard.
This is an opportunity to write about your own life story and share it with this small group. Each week there will be a topic of focus to stimulate the discussion, such as: food traditions, life challenges, childhood memories. Readings from literature or art will be used to stimulate memories and conversation. Members of the group would then have the opportunity to share what they have written and will take home a “book” of the stories shared. You don’t have to be a “writer” to join the group. You may come to just talk or listen. The purpose is to share, be heard and see the sacredness in the rich lives we have all experienced. Contact Melissa Baughman for more info.
