Rev. Michele Bagby Allan,
Pastor
Rev. Michele Bagby Allan joined the First Congregational Church in Norwood community in 2016. She is a native Californian who has grown to love New England over the nearly 20 years she has called it home, first as a seminary student at Harvard Divinity School and then as a pastor in North Hampton, NH and now in Norwood, MA.
Michele is grateful to be parent to her two children and spouse to James. She enjoys hiking, reading, dancing, crafting, and playing traditional Irish music. She also sincerely enjoys being a Christian minister and serving the community as pastor and teacher.
Dr. Randy McGee,
Director of Music/Accompanist
The First congregational church recently welcomed Randy McGee to our staff. Randy has a long-standing reputation as a performer and teacher in the Boston area. His solo credits include the Bach Cantata Series with internationally-acclaimed Emmanuel Music, Grammy-nominated Boston Baroque, and the Handel and Haydn Society. Randy has sung under the direction of conductors such as Helmuth Rilling, Seiji Ozawa, Robert Shaw & Harry Christophers. In addition to McGee’s solo credits, his ensemble work includes the New York-based Waverly Consort and the Boston Early Music Festival.
Randy has served as Artistic Director of the Snug Harbor Community Chorus (Duxbury, MA) since 2017. Dr. McGee also directs the Opera Program at Boston College and was former Music Director at First Parish Church in Kingston, MA. Randy has directed university ensembles, both auditioned and non-auditioned, and a number of high school and community choirs around the Boston area. Randy earned his Doctor of Arts in Vocal Performance and Choral Conducting with honors from the University of Northern Colorado.
In addition to conducting and performing, McGee has taught at Phillips Exeter Academy, UMass Boston, and Salem State University, and currently teaches voice and general studies at Boston College and Milton Academy.
Teri McDonald, CCCE, CPD
Church Administrator
Teri and her family have been members of the church since 2011. She joined our staff in April 2019 as our part time administrator. She is also the co-director of our Vacation Bible school program, a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Christian Education Board. When she’s not being “the church lady,” as her husband Brian, calls her, she’s busy with their three children, and their many animals including Lulu the rescue black lab, Patches the rescue bunny and a variety of chickens.
In addition, Teri is a certified childbirth educator and postpartum doula and teaches classes at Norwood Hospital.
Her interests include all things birth related, collecting chickens ( both living ones and decorations), gardening and raising her tiny humans to be kind hearted, God loving, and free thinking.
